The Smithsonian American Art Museum's
Renwick Gallery collects, exhibits, studies, and preserves American crafts from the 19th to 21st centuries. Housed in an historic architectural landmark across the street from the
White House, the Renwick features one-of-a-kind pieces created from clay, fiber, glass, metal, and wood.
The bulk of the museum's collection is housed in the newly renovated
Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture.
