We really enjoy taking my step daughter here. They are very friendly and have done a good job every time. They have plenty to keep kids busy while their hair is getting cut. They will even put glitter and wash out color on kids hair, which my step daughter loves. One stylist did an excellent job on my step daughter's bangs, which we haven't been able to get done properly anywhere. This is the only place we can get my step daughter's hair cut how she likes it and without a fuss. The turn over rate does seem big, but every person we have had has done a very good job and has been very polite.

Can't believe you can't make an appointment without paying a yearly membership fee! Guess our business will go elsewhere...

After having my son's hair cut at 2 other places in the past (He's only 20 months old) I searched for a place that specialized in cutting children's hair. At the other places my son squirmmed & cried the entire time...which made it seem to take forever. Snip-Its is decorated with bright colors. They have a display of kid-friendly styling products & a few toys for sale at the front of the store. We went to Snip-Its on a Saturday afternoon...There was NO WAIT! They only had to enter our information into their computer. A lady came over to our son & gave him his "Adventure Pass" (a plastic card on a plastic chain). Each station has a TV screen which is actually a computer monitor...The stylist starts a cartoon using a mouse. The seats are child-sized with a seatbelt...not standard-sized as a previous review states. The stylist asked me how I wanted his hair trimmed. My son has a horrible cowlick that previous stylists haven't been able to help us with. I told her my concerns & she offered a couple of suggestions. Which I thought was wonderful! When she started using the trimmers, my son let her get about 3 strokes into it & then turned around to see what she was doing...she stopped & let him touch it & then went back to what she was doing. I think that really helped him to not be scared! She talked to him & played with him the whole time! He played with his Adventure Pass, watched cartoons & watched what she was doing in the mirror while she was cutting his hair. He never squirmmed or cried at all!! When she was finished, she asked him if he was ready to get down...and he put his arms up for her to take him out of the seat...He didn't reach for me or my husband!! He even let her hold him for a couple minutes! Then we walked to the front of the store & there was a machine that the kids put their Adventure Pass into...It makes a bunch of noise & lights up & then a prize pops out! It was $15.99 plus tip. My husband kinda' complained because he can get his hair cut cheaper than that...but it was definately worth a few extra $$$ to not have to fight wich a screaming child...And she was able to work with his cowlick so its not as noticeable!! I only wish I would have found this place sooner!!

The staff has a constant turn-aover ratio, so you never know who you're going to get. The first time we went it was my son't first haircut. The stylist was very gentle and patient. The second time was a nightmare. Different person, and she acted like she owned the place. She practically scalped my son, and when I asked her to stop at 3 different lengths she only stopped when she felt it was done. When I told her that the cut was shorter than I wanted, she replied, "It'll grow back". I could've done the same job with even lines at home. My final thought on this is that her hands looked like a claw gripping my son's head (which scared him), and she had the scissors in the same hand that was gripping his head. When you bring up the company's website, the environment looks fun. But they only have standard chairs with a seatbelt, and the small monitor's play a cheesy Snip-It's theme with a bouncy ball to help you sing the words. Yawn. Do you want to pay 15.99 for this? Be my guest...You'll figure it out later.
