SolidRock Gym offers state-of-the-art indoor climbing walls that allow the rank beginner or the seasoned pro an opportunity to experience the thrill of climbing in a cool, controlled environment on constantly changing climbs. You can learn not only how to climb straight up but over, under, and upside down. Every course is marked so you can choose your own level of challenge. Adults belay, or back up, anyone under age eight. Children as young as ten are allowed to belay older climbers as long as they observe all safety rules. Instructors are always available to help out. Classes: There is a class for every level of climber, beginning with Climbing 101. This class consists of one hour of climbing taught by an instructor. Students learn basic safety skills and climbing movements. Equipment is included. The cost is $38 for an individual, $28 if it's a group lesson, or $25 for Gym members. Parties: Try SolidRock for a new twist on a birthday. Party guests will receive two hours of climbing time supervised by an instructor. Climbing gear, a party area, and a gift for the birthday child are included in the price, which is arranged at time of reservation.
