Built in 1906 as a country club, the Cultural Center is now run by the Chicago Park District and is open to the public.
The center offers everything from music lessons to karate, art classes, and yoga.
The Center also boasts a lake coastline with a beach house, ADA and Stroller Beach Mat for easy accessibility, dunes, prairies, and plenty of parking.
The Golf Course at South Shore Cultural Center is another well-kept secret in Chicago. A former private club, the 2,700 yard, par 33 course offers beautiful panoramic views of Lake Michigan along with tree-lined fairways and small greens.
