about Southcenter Mall:

Southcenter is a sprawling suburban shopping mall with nearly 200 stores and eateries, including anchors Macy's and Nordstrom. Of particular interest to families are Abercrombie Kids, The Children's Place, Gap Kids, and Gymboree.

Seventy-five new stores opened in 2008, including kids retailers Crazy 8, Stride Rite, Pumpkin Patch, and new Limited Too and Gymboree stores. New family amenities include two family lounges, a kids' play area, family dining, family parking, a 16-screen AMC Theatre, five new sit down restaurants, and a cafe-style dining terrace.

tips:

The parking lot is enormous, so expect a good walk during busy times. The mall does offer expectant mother parking.

getting there:

Southcenter Mall is located in Tukwila about 10 miles south of Seattle. From Seattle: Take I-5 south. Take exit #154B towards Southcenter Boulevard & Mall. Turn left onto Southcenter Boulevard. Turn right on 61st Avenue S and onto the loop road (Southcenter Parkway) around the mall.
