About half the square footage in this large, friendly cafe is devoted to a homey children's play area that's filled with clean, comfy, well-worn couches, kid-sized tables and chairs, play structures, and lots of toys. A simple countryside mural adorns two walls, and fluffy white clouds and blue sky cover the ceiling.

The cafe serves inexpensive home-baked goods and really good coffee drinks. Juice boxes and other kid-friendly snacks are available, too. Kids are genuinely welcome here (not just tolerated), so parents can get cozy and relax while they explore, whether it's during a high-energy playgroup meeting, on a lazy winter morning, or any other time.

All the coffee sold here comes from Arabica beans roasted in the shop in a Has Garanti Roaster from Turkey.

The coffee was fine. The food left much to be desired. This is a neighborhood coffee shop, where the beans are roasted by the owner and the food is made fresh - like the chocolate chip, banana bread or the cranberry, white chocolate scones. For the price ($1.00-1.50) it's hard to beat. Hakan (the owner) is an incredibly generous person. I love coming here and my kids love playing here. Plus, buy two pounds of coffee and get a free pound. Love the Italian, the Turkish and the Anatolian roasts.

This is a great place to go on a cold day when your kids need to get out of the house. You can enjoy a great coffee drink and watch your kids play in the play area. They have a ton of toys and a few large items like a slide play structure and a little house. True the furniture is a bit worn but in the setting of a playroom I think it is fine. I have also met here with playgroups and it works out great.

We always have a wonderful time here. Sometimes it's a little crowded and the play room isn't heated or air conditioned, so dress for the weather! Tons of fun toys and yummy treats!! We go quite often with our playgroup!

This place goes beyond "a little messy." Toys were dirty, and the one employee working at the time was allowing her little boy to run amok all around the playroom with a snotty nose. His nose got wiped all over everything, and, judging by the looks of the toys, they won't get cleaned any time soon. I don't mind old furniture or a sort of messy look for a coffee shop designed for little ones, but this was downright dirty and gross. The coffee was fine, but the food left much to be desired. We won't be going again.

This is a great place where your toddler can play and Mom/Dad can relax! I would highly recommend Sovereign Grounds for parents of young kids. The play/parent area is separated from the "adult" area, so you never feel like you're intruding on others. The baked goods and coffee drinks are yummy, too.

Its not sparkly clean like the chain coffee places, but its more than made up for by the friendly owner, great toys and wonderful coffee! Your kids will be so welcome here you'll be back often!
