about Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History:

The Spellman Museum engages diverse audiences in the opportunities to learn from stamps and postal history. It welcomes stamp collectors and philatelic students from around the world.

Visitors of all ages are provided with opportunities to engage diverse interests at the Spellman Museum. Families share satisfying experiences. Children learn to look carefully. Experienced collectors research philatelic interests in the museum's library. Group tours and activities are customized to serve special needs. Families can visit the Activity Center, which includes geography and art projects, stamp identification exercise, U.S. and international Two Cents Boxes, current stamp catalogs and periodicals. Packets of free stamps from a 19th-century post office box are available for those 16 and under. There's also a Stamp Hunt with prizes.

The museum also offers its activity room for use for children's birthday parties. Call for more information.

getting there:

Traveling west on the Mass Pike, take exit 15 to Route 30 West. Continue approximately two miles and make a right turn onto Wellesley Street. Turn left at the first entrance to the college at the sign for the museum.
