The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks award for the Best Museum for Teens in New York City, the Sports Museum of America, created in partnership with virtually every major sports hall of fame, features state-of-the-art interactivies, original films, and an iconic collection of sports artifacts for sports fans of all ages. Admission is by timed entry; last admission is 90 minutes prior to closing time. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, by phone, or in person at the box office. Admission to SMA is free for kids ages 14 and under (accompanied by a paying adult) every Sunday morning from 9am to 12n in July and August.

Strollers are not permitted in the museum, but may be stored in the lobby coat room. The last ticket is sold 90 minutes prior to closing.
