Spreckels Park is especially popular during the summer when concerts are held at the gazebo. It is also the site of the on-going Art-in-the-Park event, held the the first and third Sunday of every month. For kids, there is a playground.
Parties and other community events can be held at Spreckles Park, but reservations for groups or 20 or more must be made. If electricity is needed for an outdoor event, note that Spreckels is the only park in Coronado that can accommodate.

tips:
Take the Coronado Bridge, which becomes Pomona Avenue. Turn left onto Orange Avenue. The park is between Sixth and Seventh Streets.
