A member of USA Rugby and Rugby SuperLeague, the St. Louis Bombers has been on the city's sports scene since 1962. The team won the Missouri Rugby Union Championship in its first two years and five out of its first six. In more recent years, the team has won the USA Rugby Western Club Championships in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2005.
The Bombers currently have two USA national team members on their team, and Hayden Mexted competed for the USA in the Rugby World Cup during the fall of 2007.
The Bombers play at the Maryland Heights Sportport. Games prove to be friendly, lively, and raucous events.
