My kid has been there for 5 years and never regret sending her there!

St.Mary's Chinese Day School will allow your child to be quite prepared for high school. From experience, I've been well prepared in all subjects, including grammar, literature, science, history, math, vocabulary, and cantonese language. Going into specific subjects, St.Mary's has allowed me to have great grammar, exceeding most students in the high school I attend now. This fact is because most non-parochial schools do not even provide grammar studies. In math, I've learned up to algebra, but what students learn in St.Mary's go beyond algebra, which can be seen on the high school tests that I've taken. Students will also be exposed to geometry as well. Science is also a subject taken seriously at St.Mary's. There is a science fair every year that 7th and 8th graders participate in. This allows them to perform experiments and create displays for the whole school to view. It is a great preparation for high school science fairs, which allows students to become comfortable in participating in future science fairs. History touches upon mostly everything, from world history to your standard u.s. history. I have found that I was able to participate in many of my high school history class conversations from what I've learned in St. Mary's. I am quite satisfied with the education I received from St.Mary's after I found out that I was accepted to 6 out of the 7 high schools I applied to in 2006 and a few I was able to get in with honors. The one that I wasn't accepted to I was put on waitlist. The highschools included Lowell, Saint Ignatius, Sacred Heart, University High School, International, Urban, and Lick Wilmerding.
