Stoneham Theatre creates an artistic home that nurtures emerging artists, engages new audiences, and explores the human experience through the production of vital, affecting, and beautiful theater.
The theater produces seven shows each year. As a professional, not-for-profit regional theater, it works with the highest caliber of professional actors, directors, and designers to create the highest quality theater possible.
Through its
young co., the theater has a strong program to introduce live theater to young people. This program gives students ages three and up the chance to explore the experience of performing in a friendly, fun environment. Throughout the year, students participate in workshops, rehearsals, and performances designed to develop important skills like teamwork and self-confidence.
Students are divided into different stages based on age: Playdates for ages 3 to 6; Overture for grades 1 to 3; act 1 for grades 4 to 6, act 2 for grades 7 to 9, and act 3 for grades 10 to 12.
