The JCC offers a variety of youth programming, including before- and afterschool care at Kidstown, Parent's Night Out, Black Box concerts for teens, and joint programming in arts and crafts, field trips, and Judaics with other Jewish organizations, including the Jewish Day School and the Hadassah-sponsored youth group Young Judaea.

Every quarter, the Center publishes a program guide with over 125 varied classes, from swimming lessons to adult Jewish enrichment, open to both JCC members and non-members. Each summer, the Center offers over one hundred summer camps both on- and off-site, attended by schoolchildren from Bellevue, Mercer Island, and Seattle, with sports, arts and crafts, science, drama and adventure camps. The Center also organizes plays, all-ages concerts and field trips for youth and teens, and hosts free community-wide events to celebrate Hanukkah, Sukkot, and Purim.

The Parenting Center offers programs for families with children 0 to three years old. Classes include Tot Shabbat, a free drop-in program on Fridays at 9:45am with music, singing, and dancing; Baby Sign, where parents learn to communicate with their babies before they can talk; field trips to the Seattle Art Museum for a tour of exhibits with a private, baby-friendly docent; and Creative Beginnings a small group of moms and babies who do arts and crafts, sing, play, and dance together. Class registration is available online.

Thank goodness they opened the coffee bar! It makes me so happy that my money is being spent on things such as latte machines instead of playground equipment, classroom supplies, and other educational necessities that are desperately needed. Oh wait, nobody worry, the parents will pay for those things out of their own pockets as well. Go ahead and cough up some more money for an overpriced coffee so it can be spent on other projects not suited for the children in attendance. Incredible teachers here, though. You cannot beat them. If only the administration would learn a thing or two from the teachers this place would be perfect.

My experience with the JCC was awful. It's front desk staff was often inattentive and rude, and he was often surfing on Facebook. The janitorial staff was equally as ungracious, and never responded when I said hello to them. Administratively, it takes eons to get a message through to anyone, because often times the staff is so concerned with regulations that you can never directly speak to anyone. My number one caution, however, is that you should never put your children into their theatre program. The stage, curtains and set were in complete disarray. The quality of the tech and facility were horrible compared to the amount of money that I paid.

I have taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade in the public school system for a total of 10 years. As a mother and a teacher, I strongly disagree with the negative comments posted on this site. Our child is thriving at the JCC thanks to the caring teachers and it's "alternative teaching methods". We have had nothing but positive experiences working with the administration at this school. I respect the fact that this is a forum for people to express their opinions. However, I feel that as a very involved member of my community it's important to share with the public that these are the only negative words I have EVER read/heard about the JCC. There will always be the few unhappy parents that didn't get the system changed to accommodate their child.

My kids and family have had great experiences at their summer camp as well as during the year. The programming has been first rate and the staff has been amazing with the kids. I think it has been a great place to build a community and I look forward to more years with the JCC.
