Sugar House Park is one of the prettiest parks in the city, offering fun things to do in both the summer and winter.
A walking/jogging path perimeters the 130-acre park, which also houses beautiful rose gardens, garden plots, and a pond with ducks. The magnificent unobstructed views of the mountains make this a very popular picnicking site.
To burn off some energy, lead young children to the two playgrounds and the older children to the volleyball courts. In the winter, children bring their sleds or tubes to slide down the hills. Bales of hay are set up at the bottom of the hill for breaking assistance if needed.
