About Summit Rock Climbing Gym
Kids climbing the walls? At the Summit Rock Climbing Gym kids (and parents) are allowed - and encouraged - to scale the walls of the 12,000 square foot facility. Ascend to 33 feet and choose from 120 different routes that are constantly being changed so that your experience varies from visit to visit.
The Climbing Gym is a comfortable place and even energetic, sugar-filled 12-year-olds can't do damage here. Several comfy leather couches are scattered around for taking a break or just watching in wonder. And the fish tank reception area is fascinating to just about everyone.
After school classes are offered throughout the year and rock climbing camps are available during the summer and on school holiday breaks. Call or visit the website for current schedules and fees.
Birthday parties are a blast and include three hours in the gym, 10 guests, a party room, a harness rental, safety instruction, climbing tips, your child's name on the neon birthday sign, and a party coordinator who stays with your group the entire time. This party-guy is worth every penny for keeping kids entertained, focused, and having fun. For kids under 14, one adult must be available to belay (work the ropes) for every three kids. And each kid must have a signed release form to climb in the gym. The standard party package is $200.
The LaLa Palooza Party Package is geared toward the older kids (14 and up) and is a lock-in from 9pm to 8am. The cost is $25 per kid with a minimum of 20 kids, and five adults must also spend the night. This is appropriate for church youth groups, boy scouts, and any other large group seeking a team-building opportunity.
