Susi's Gallery is a true treat. It's an artsy gift shop/gallery that carries handpainted furniture, mirrors, and frames. It also has hand-made jewelry, barrettes, and other interesting trinkets. Parents will find the handsewn leather baby booties, handmade infant quilts, and cuddly polar fleece blankets hard to resist. And if you need a little original art to adorn your child's bedroom walls, it carries a wonderful selection of paintings, wall "sculptures," and the like.
Classes: Susi also offers art classes throughout the week for children ages 5-14. Each class is 1 1/2 hours, at a cost of $80 per class. Call ahead to reserve a spot.
Day Camps: More like classes, actually, than day camp. Held Tuesday through Friday during school vacation weeks (February and April). Sessions run from 11am-3pm, and students may participate in one or more classes during the week. Classes are $80 per session. Call ahead to reserve a spot.

getting there:
Take Storrow Drive and follow signs for Rte 2 Arlington/Fresh Pond. Come around bend and stay to your right. You'll see signs for Cambridge. Mt Auburn Hospital is also on your right. Follow Concord Ave until you see Huron. Take a right onto Huron. Susi's is located 4 or 5 blocks up on your right, next to the Full Moon.
