Operating since 1963, the Swap Shop is a unique shopping complex, billed as South Florida's second largest attraction. The 88-acre facility features an air-conditioned shopping complex, as well as an outdoor flea market and farmer's market. Merchandise ranges from clothing and jewelry to shoes, household items, and toys.
The site also features a car museum, multiple food courts, a video and game arcade, and Uncle Bernie's Amusement Rides, a amusement park featuring kiddie rides and roller coasters, bumper cars, and other carnival-type attractions. Stroller rental is available.
At night, the complex transitions from a shopping mecca into a 14-screen drive-in movie theater, featuring current releases. Daily movie schedules can be viewed on the venue website.
