The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best tytoring and test prep for big kids in San Antonio, Sylvan offers individualized supplemental academics in a small group setting for kindergarten though high school-aged children. Diagnostic placement tests and personalized curriculum materials provide for realistic goal setting and ensure that children work at an appropriate level and pace. Subjects include math, reading, writing, SAT/ACT test preparation, and study skills. Programs are offered on site as well as online. Sylvan uses a positive motivation program for good work, including tokens and checkbooks for purchases at the Sylvan Store. Teachers confer with parents every 12 hours of instruction and will work with your child's school teacher for a coordinated effort meant to optimize your child's success in the program.
