Founded in 1850,
Temple Beth Zion is one of the oldest and largest Reform congregations in the nation. The architecture of main sanctuary is world renowned and features two enormous original stained glass windows designed by Ben Shahn. One of the largest pipe organs made sits in the balcony. Tours are available at the building by appointment and include the Cofeld Judaic Museum display of religious items dating back over 100 years. Membership is open to all, regardless of financial resources, and services are always open to the public.
Temple Beth Zion also has a location in Amherst that hosts a myriad of classes and activities and is home to the
PALS preschool.
