About Texas Rock Gym
Texas Rock Gym has climbing walls suitable for novices and experts. A staff member gets climbers started, and any necessary equipment - harnesses, shoes, etc. - is available to rent.
For birthday parties, Texas Rock Gym has party areas equipped with plenty of tables, chairs, and room for entertainment. Groups of 10 or more can get a group discount if scheduled in advance. The standard party rates include a climbing and safety orientation, belay class, harnesses, and three full hours in the gym.
Kids can join Team TRG. As a team member, each child gets an unlimited membership to the gym, rental equipment, scheduled practices, outdoor climbing trips, and special privileges (belaying, lead climbing, and drop-off privileges). The cost to join the team is $80-$100 a month.
ClimbSafe Class - an introductory climbing/belaying safety course - is required for any belayers who are not in the gym's database. The cost is $7.50.
Membership packages are also available, with varying monthly rates.

Getting There
From Downtown Houston, take I-10 West. Exit Campbell Road and turn right. Texas Rock Gym is one mile north of I-10, on Campbell Road between Westview Drive and Long Point Road.

- Great place to be for the family. Closer to a one adult per child ratio you can get is better. Belaying is easy to understand, by the end of the night you're a pro and will have had a work out. Great for kids of all ages, tremendous workout to be on the wall. Other skill levels are present at the same time so there's something to watch even if you're taking a break. Vending machines there. Contained area, wear tennis shoes.
