The Thai Orchid is a tiny restaurant (only eight or nine tables) specializing in authentic Thai cuisine. It is a family-owned restaurant - the man cooking the food and the people waiting the tables are the owners/operators - and they make their guests feel like part of the family, too. We've tried just about everything on the menu and are yet to be disappointed. The lunch combos are a good option for those of us who have a hard time deciding on our entree; the combos include the choice of two entrees served with rice and a salad, all for a very reasonable price.
Think Thai food is too spicy for your family's palate? Think again. Any of the dishes can be spiced up or down according to any diner's liking; just ask. All the curries are wonderful, and many kids love the tofu appetizer with the sweet dipping sauce.
Service is usually very quick, the portions are generous, and the food is always delicious. Since the owners treat all customers as if they are family members, children are made to feel most welcome, and two highchairs are available for the very young. Diners leave the restaurant (usually with boxes of leftovers) feeling as if they have been really well fed and cared for.
