The Acorn Store is love at first site for parents in search of an alternative to all the plastic stuff made in China. The store is loaded with beautifully made wooden toys, delightful dress-up clothes, a great selection of European-made toys, and very few things that go beep or talk.
tips:
The selection is terrific, but space is small, so plan on leaving the stroller in the car.
getting there:
The store is just south of Wilshire, on the west side of the street. Street parking is not too hard to find - even right in front.
