about The African American Museum in Philadelphia:

The African American Museum in Philadelphia is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the material and intellectual culture of African Americans in Philadelphia. The museum is the first to be founded by a municipality dedicated to the preservation of African American culture.

Interesting, fun exhibitions and public programs make the museum an enjoyable destination for adults and children alike. Family programs and activities include Passport to Culture, Summer Family Fun Days, group tours, interdisciplinary arts activities, African Dance, Afro-Latin Culture Workshops, Hip Hop Jazz Musicology, and more.
