The Albuquerque Museum's permanent art installation,
Common Ground - Art from the Museum's Permanent Collections, features a variety of
New Mexico artists and art mediums.
Four Centuries: The History of Albuquerque is also a permanent installation. With a docent guided tour, Museum visitors can enjoy a
hands-on experience by feeling the different types of fur that the Pueblos trapped, lifting the armor of Spanish Conquistadors, and touching everyday objects from the casas of the Old West. Tours are offered Tuesday through Sunday at 2pm.
The
Sculpture Garden includes over 50 pieces of art. Kids have the freedom of being outdoors as they explore the many abstract and some very lifelike sculptures. Tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday at 10am, April through November, and are free with admission.
Family Art Workshops are offered every Saturday from 1pm-2:30pm. All supplies are provided, and participation is free with Museum admission.
Tours of
Historic Old Town are offered Tuesday through Sunday at 11am (mid March through mid December).

The
Children's Discovery Gallery is currently closed due to construction, but should be back soon.
Membership: A $50 family membership (2 adults and their children under 18) includes free admission to the Museum, the monthly newsletter, advance notice and discounts on programs and performances, and 10% off $5 or more at the Museum Store.
The Albuquerque Museum is within walking distance of the
New Mexico Museum of Natural History,
Explora, Historic Old Town and Tiguex Park.
