about The Ark:

A small toy store that carefully selects its items. Carries some beautifully made wooden toys you've never seen before, as well as more familiar ones. Selection is limited and the toys themselves are small. As much a toy boutique as a toy store. The Berkeley store is the winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best Toy Store for Little Kids in the Bay Area.

getting there:

Cross street is Church. Parking on 24th street is almost impossible to find on weekends. Muni J Church, Buses 48, 67.
