The Art Farm in the City offers a number of great classes for children, including Mommy & Me classes. Year-round class options include music, art, baking, and animal education. Animal Care Classes for kids ages three to eight are offered as well, featuring animal education time with the Farm's vet technician in very small groups.
In winter, the Art Farm opens its doors for playtime, Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm to 3:30pm, to keep little ones out of the cold. The music room is set up with toys, the kitchen is set up with art projects, and the animals are awake and ready to play! Drop-off options are available to children ages 2.5 and up. Call in advance for cost and availability.
Two hour birthday party packages are available seven days a week (reserve your date well in advance). Kids interact with the animals that live on the 1000 square foot farm, snuggling with bunnies, cuddling the chinchilla, petting the guinea pigs and hamsters, and visiting birds, reptiles, and fish, too!
Kids can participate in an art project, as well as music and games (for early childhood parties Art Farm recommends circle time with sing along, using instruments and puppets; for older children karaoke and dancing are terrific fun). Basic party fee (includes pizza, balloons, goody bags, and party favors) is $795 for the first ten children; $25 for each additional child.
During the summer months, children ages three to six can sign up for summer camp (morning or afternoon sessions). In each three hour session, children join music and singing circle time, create terrific arts and crafts projects, bake yummy goodies for snack, and have the opportunity to learn about and play with the critters in the "petting farm".
The flexible schedule allows for registration by the week. Little farmers (three to four years) can be a part of the half day program, offered Mon-Fri with a 9am-12n morning session and a 12n-3pm afternoon session. Full day campers, ages four to six, attend from 9am-3pm. Visit the website for details and registration.
