The Art Station Big Shanty was built in 1943 as a summer home, and now operates as an arts center. The center houses two multi-media classrooms, a photography darkroom, a pottery studio, and a gallery and meeting space. Programming includes classes and workshops in the visual, performing, and literary art during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters; visual, dance, and theater camps for children in the summer; and exhibitions and meeting space for art-related activities year-round.
The center also offers seasonal workshops, parent/child classes, and home school classes.
