about The Big Cheese:

The Big Cheese - winner of our 2009 Parents' Picks award for best local pizza - is a favorite local haunt for people looking for good pizza or other traditional Italian favorites. Here you'll find pizza (by the slice too), lots of pasta dishes (including seafood pasta specialties), and subs like you'd expect in a local pizza joint, including veal parmesan and meatball heroes.

A children's menu for kids 12 and under includes chicken fingers, a shrimp basket, plain buffalo wings, and spaghetti, but children can always go for a pizza slice or a side of pasta with meatballs.

The restaurant itself has booths and tables (with high chairs or boosters if you need them) and the atmosphere is boisterous. If you're looking for peaceful, this is not your best choice.

Offering take out and delivery, we like the option of having our pizza/pasta at home. Party platters are also available.

tips:

On Friday and Saturday nights, pick up your pizza if you can. Delivery can take 45 minutes to an hour.

getting there:

Take U.S.1 to Ludlam Road (SW 67th Avenue) and head north (left from northbound, and right from southbound). The Big Cheese is on the left immediately after you turn onto Ludlam Road.
