Established in 1867, The Boston Conservatory is one of the oldest degree-granting conservatories in the United States. Public performances showcase the talent of faculty, students, alumni, and visiting artists.
getting there:
The main Conservatory building is one door south of the intersection of Boylston Street and The Fenway, two blocks west of Massachusetts Avenue. The nearest T stop is ICA/Hynes Convention Center on the Green Line, a 5-minute walk. Exit the T onto Massachusetts Avenue, go left to the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street. Go straight across Boylston, then cross Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Boylston one block (west) until it comes to Hemenway Street. For The Boston Conservatory Theater, take a left onto Hemenway, walk one block to #31. For Seully Hall, continue on Boylston (west) for a block past Hemenway Street until Boylston ends at The Fenway. The Massachusetts Historical Society will be on the corner. Turn left and walk about 200 feet to #8.
