The Buddy System is a highly-respected program that specializes in custom-tailored educational programs for children grades K-12. Teaching is conducted on a one-on-one basis either at home or at school, and teachers work closely with the child, his or her parents, and the child's school teacher. The cadre of in-house educators appear ready to take on almost any academic challenge. The most frequently requested subjects for tutoring are math, reading, writing, science, SAT and ACT preparation, languages, computers, history, music, time management, study skills, and customized college admissions counseling. The Buddy System specializes in children with special needs and/or learning differences. The cost varies widely depending on students' needs (e.g., special needs cost more) and many parents pay on a sliding fee scale. Summer enrichment programs are available.
