The
Children's Museum of Indianapolis - housed in a 400,000-square-foot facility and featuring 11 major galleries - is the largest children's museum in the world. The exhibits explore the physical and natural sciences, history, world cultures, and the arts, and offer plenty of opportunities for hands-on exploration.
Birthday parties include a private party room, admission to the museum, themed party ware, and a special gift for the birthday child from the Museum Store. The member price is $270; non-members pay $300 (plus all applicable sales tax). Email

The museum's new
preschool is a dynamic program for children ages 3 through 5 that takes full advantage of being part of the world's largest children's museum. Classes - which utilize the principles and practices of Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia and follow a curriculum backed by Indiana's early learning guidelines - are offered in the mornings one, two or three days per week, allowing parents to choose the option that works best for their child's needs.
Family membership is $110 and up, per year.
