The Children's School (TCS), a non-profit independent school located in La Jolla, offers classes that for toddlers (18 months) through eighth grade.

The mission of The Children's School is to inspire each child to fulfill his or her unique potential through a strong academic and social curriculum, thereby creating a foundation and instilling the desire for lifelong learning. Equal importance is placed on the process of learning and the content of learning.

After-school enrichment classes are provided throughout the year and can be attended by students from other schools. Classes include music, dance, art, chess, sports, Spanish, and science, among others. For a curent list of courses and schedule, refer to the school's website.

During the summer, TCS offers camps for preschoolers through elementary students.

The Children's School is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. TCS is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
