The chocoholics among us might have to be dragged out the door kicking and screaming, because we just want to try one more of everything at The Chocolate Bar. One side of the shop is dedicated to assorted chocolate candies, gourmet chocolate bars, handmade chocolate clusters with nuts and other treats, various hand-dipped cookies such as chocolate-covered Oreos and fortune cookies, and novelties such as solid chocolate baseball gloves, guitars, cell phones, and more. Oh, so much more.
One specialty worthy of individual mention is the chocolate pizza - it comes in a pizza box and looks like a 12-inch pizza, but it's actually made of chocolate, with a layer of white chocolate to look like cheese, as well as nuts and candied cherries in the mix. This could be an interesting substitute for a birthday cake.
Health-conscious folks (we're kidding) can choose from among a half dozen kinds of chocolate-dipped fresh fruit such as strawberries, apple slices, and raspberries. And now that we've made it to the counter, it's time to drool over the many different types of chocolate ice cream, as well as the wide selection of cookies, brownies, pies, cakes...mmm, we wish we had more than one stomach.
The atmosphere at The Chocolate Bar is lively (of course, with all that chocolate flowing through our veins), with plenty of table-seating available. The only drawbacks for parents of little ones are that no high chairs are available, and the restroom does not have a changing table. But the one (unisex) restroom is clean and large.
