I read the other review and can't believe we are talking about the same place! My daugher (now 5 years old) and I have been going to The Company Onstage for over a year and have seen some really great shows there! One of our first experiences with TCO was seeing Rudolph Rides Again - the cast and performance were really wonderful. They encouraged audience participation from the children, for example, They lost an elf and asked the audience, "Do you know where she is?" The kids had so much fun shouting and pointing, "Over there!" It was hysterical to see them so into the show and a great way to give your children the love of theater at such a young age. We have also seen other performaces and the great thing about TCO is that I have never seen the theater full and I usually make the reservations the night before or the morning of the show just because with young children you never know what will come up. There really isn't a bad seat in the house and the theater is pretty small so easy to hear the cast.

My daughter's favorite thing is after every performance the cast sits on the stage and they sign autographs. You can buy a little "poster" I think it's a dollar or something. Anyway, they welcome the children to come up with or without a poster. She LOVES to go up and stand in line to get her poster signed and talking to all of the actors. Everyone is always so nice and engaging. They really make all of the children feel so welcome.

I don't usually write reviews but felt I had to write one to combat the one I just read so people would still go to this cute little theater and give it a chance.

P.S. You can buy books of 10 tickets at a time to be used for any of the performances to make the inexpensive tickets even cheaper - but I do recommend getting there EARLY as the seating is not assigned/reserved. I think from what we have observed is if you make the reservation first you are seated first but you have to be there when the seating starts. Again, it has never been over crowded or sold out when we have been there (at least ten times)so it's never been an issue. I hope some of you try this theater and write some good reviews to support this really great place and get their rating back where it needs to be. Good luck TCO!!
