The only museum in the state devoted exclusively to contemporary art, The Contemporary Museum exhibits its collection across two venues: the First Hawaiian Center downtown, and historic Spalding House, where the museum also maintains the house and gardens, and operates a cafe and museum store. Entry is free at the First Hawaiian Center location. For Spalding House, it's Adults $5; Seniors & Students $3; Children (under 13) free. Admission is free the third Thursday of the month, and no entry fee is required to enter just the store or cafe - but be aware that the cafe's hours are shorter.
