About The Cornerstone Music Conservatory
Cornerstone Music Conservatory hosts innovative music programs for children of all ages.
Baby's First Music Classes, for children ages seven months to 20 months, help parents learn to establish a musical environment at home, while exposing babies to rhythm and musical expression. Age-appropriate activities include singing, dancing, games, and experimenting with musical instruments.
Music Train, and Music Adventures are for toddlers and pre-schoolers, offering games and music in a fun-filled environment, helping establish a life-long understanding and appreciation of music. Both these classes meet weekday mornings; Little Tunes Pajama Club provides the same experience in the evenings, for working parents and their children.
Older children can get a comprehensive music education from the Harmony Road Piano Course, which takes kids from age four and a half and up, on a step-by-step journey through ear-training, note-reading, piano instruction, singing, ensemble experience, improvisation, and composition. Parents attend the classes, too, offered year-round on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, for one hour.
Introductory instrumental classes are offered in piano, percussion, and strings, for kids ages three to 15 years.
Private lessons in piano, clarinet, voice, guitar, saxophone, and many other instruments, are also available.
The Westside Children's Chorus meets one afternoon a week, to provide children ages seven to 15 with an opportunity to experience choral singing and performance skills. Children must audition, but no experience is necessary.
Westside Comunity Youth Orchestra is open to musicians ages eight to 18. A minimum of one year playing experience required.
The Cornerstone Music Conservatory is available on Sunday afternoons for Musical Birthday Parties. The school provides space, musical games, and instruments. The cost is $275 for two hours of fun and 1/2 hour of clean-up. Food and decorations are available for an extra fee.
