about The Depot Coffee House:
Warm and inviting, The Depot serves organic, Fair Trade coffee beverages - hot and cold - along with pizzas, soups, sandwiches, baked goods, and other light fare.
But what really sets the cafe apart from others is its setting in a renovated 100-year-old train depot...and the fact that's it's also a non-profit student-run enterprise and teen center.
The attractive building features a small stage with audio equipment, and can be rented for private parties and events.
The cafe is also notable (and appreciated!) for its location at the nexus of several popular bicycle trails. A large parking lot is located on the west side of the building, and there's a water fountain on the east side.
tips:
Friday nights at The Depot are set aside for high school students and live music, providing a safe, chemical-free environment for hanging out.
getting there:
Located right off Highway 169 in Hopkins, along the former Milwaukee Rail Line, which is now a trailhead on Three Rivers' Southwest Corridor bike trail.
