Located in the city's West End, The Fairmont offers a luxurious place to stay while visiting DC. The rooms and suites are arranged around a lovely garden courtyard. A recently renovated health club and pool are available for guest use; there is an extra charge for the health club, but not for the pool. Parking is available (at a pretty stiff price), and the hotel is Metro accessible via the Foggy Bottom stop (Blue and Orange lines), about four blocks away. The 415 rooms and suites feature cable television with in-room pay movies, high speed internet access, a refreshment center, individual climate control (even windows that open!), and more. Cribs are available upon request, as is babysitting, and rooms can be connected if you want more privacy than a single room or suite can guarantee. Several restaurants are on site, with the Colonnade offering a lush Sunday brunch.
