The Grove is 123 acres of ecologically diverse prairie grove land preserved and maintained by the Glenview Park District.
The Grove National Historic Landmark boasts a natural habitat, hikeable trails, and several historic buildings: the Kennicott House, the Redfield Estate, a Log Cabin and a Native American Longhouse.
The Natural Science Classroom houses amphibians, fish, reptiles, mammals and assorted wildlife. Special events at The Grove include an annual Folk Fest, a Holiday Craft Faire, a Garden & Antique Show, and a Civil War Weekend.
Kids ages four to 10 can hold birthday parties at The Grove - with themes including Tea Party for You, Wildlife Adventures, Discovering Dinosaurs, and Stampin' Fun. All parties are two hours long and are led by trained staff. Call or visit the website for details and reservations
