About The Grove at Farmers Market
The Grove features first class open air shopping, with Pottery Barn Kids, Barnes & Noble, a handful of restaurants, a gorgeous movie theater complex, and a replica of the old Los Angeles Red Car trolley - which shuttles visitors along the pedestrian path between the Original Farmers Market and The Grove.
Kids love the "town square" area with its musical dancing fountain display and little foot bridge over a fish pond.

- I usually take my son to this every week. We love it. They have a covered area with chairs and then grass surrounding it where you can put down a blanket and relax. Get there early to find a seat in the covered area or to find shade on the grass. Great concerts for kids and puppet shows sometimes. They usually have two shows, one at 11am and one at 12pm. The musicians or whatever act usually take a break in between. So you can come for the 11am show or the 12pm show. Some acts do the same show twice in a row and others change it up a bit. Either way, the area usually clears up a bit after the first show so you have a second chance at getting a good seat. Check it out!

You can get easy validation in the Shoe Dept. of Nordstrom's.
[Submitted by alismamma8/07/08 - I took my 2 year old today for the Just for Kids Club and he loved it! What a great way to spend a Thursday morning/mid afternoon. There was a mini-concert just for kids. I understand from their website that they have a variety of activities. I would advise getting there early. Definitely bring something to sit on and be comfy...limited seating. Because of the timing (11-1), we brought lunch! Great idea to. I think this will be our outing on Thursday. It was a lot of fun.
