about The Heritage Society:

An outdoor, interactive history museum located in Sam Houston Park, The Heritage Society boasts nine historic structures dating from 1823 to 1905. Each is authentically restored, and visitors can learn about what life was really like in frontier times for the early settlers in Houston. For tours of the historic homes, call for reservations.

The Heritage Society also operates a small indoor museum, The Heritage Society Museum, dedicated to preserving Houston's history.
