about The Huntington Explorers:

Kids ages five to 12 who are crazy for art and nature can spend a summer week or two at The Huntington. The Museum offers week-long sessions that feature a choice of morning, afternoon, or full-day art, botany, literature, and photography exploration, through interactive tours and hands-on activities. Children are grouped by age; space is limited, and reservations are required. Costs include one-week program, all materials, and a T-shirt. Children in the full day program should bring lunch; supervision is provided. Extended care from 8:30-9:30am and 3pm-4pm is available for full day campers only.

getting there:

Take the Hill Street exit off the 210 Freeway, head south, left on California, and right on Allen Avenue. Or take the 110 Freeway to the end, take Arroyo Parkway north, turn right on California, and right on Allen. Free parking is available in enormous lots. Be sure to take careful note of where you park; it's no fun to lose the car after a long day of touring the gardens!
