The Inn on Ferry Street is a charming
urban bed and breakfast that is great for couples and families with older, well-behaved children. The establishment's historic group of homes have been masterfully restored and decorated, the staff is courteous, and the amenities are a-plenty. Breakfast includes make-your-own Belgium waffles, fresh fruit, an assortment of yogurt & cereals, a scrambled egg bar, and baked goods. WiFi access is available in all guest rooms and parlors. One of the
carriage houses has meeting space for large or extended families or groups. All four of the mansions and the other carriage house have common areas that can be used by guests. Each of the individual homes is decorated slightly differently, from Victorian to Arts and Crafts, depending on the architecture of the house - but all keep with the style of the era in which they were built. The Inn is located in the Cultural Center area of Detroit and is especially appreciated by lovers of culture and history. Within walking distance are the
Detroit Institute of Arts,
The New Detroit Science Center, the
Museum of African American History,
Detroit Historical Museum, and the main branch of the
Detroit Public Library. Take a longer walk or short drive and check out the
Hard Rock Cafe,
Comerica Park,
