The Language Workshop for Children combines carefully structured curriculum with a child's innate love of play, following a distinctive technique developed by the school's founder and director, François Thibaut.
Children's minds are engaged in animated "playgroup-style" classes (a format pioneered by Thibaut nearly 35 years ago!) that use original LWFC songs, games, time-tested visual aids, and more. The school works with professional composers to develop effective, child-friendly, vocabulary-building songs, available exclusively through the LWFC. And each child receives a song CD to expand and reinforce at home what they hear in class. The LWFC continually invests in songwriters, singers, musicians, illustrators, writers, graphic artists, printers, and CD makers to offer their students fresh, new, top-quality vocabulary-building materials.
Classes in French and Spanish are available for children ages 6 months to 9 years. Tots, age 6 months to 3, attend age-appropriate structured language immersion play classes with a parent or caregiver for 45 minutes. Children, ages 3 and up enjoy their songs and action play alone.
