The Latin School of Chicago was established in 1888. The School serves over 1000 students in grades junior kindergarten through twelve. Students come from throughout the city of Chicago and suburbs. Latin offers a rigorous, interdisciplinary college preparatory curriculum, that encourages independence and creativity. The Lower School is located around the corner from the Middle and Upper School, at 1531 N. Dearborn Parkway. An Extended Day program supports Latin families by offering a safe, fun program before and after the school day for students enrolled in junior kindergarten through fifth grade. The program provides a balance of organized activities and the free time that is important for children.
