about The Little Gym - SLC:

The Little Gym offers age-appropriate movement, dance, and gymnastics for kids at all levels of experience.

A room painted with brightly colored murals, filled with gymnastics equipment of all sorts, offers lots to do and plenty of room to run around. Instructors are friendly and professional, and work at knowing children by name and including them in the action.

Parent/Child developmental gymnastics classes - the Bugs, Birds, Beasts, and Superbeasts - follow the same pattern every week, so kids know what to expect. The instructor leads songs and fun group activities and teaches basic gymnastics skills, and kids have time for free play and ball play. Every class ends with bubbles and a jingle-bell goodbye song. Class sessions last 20 weeks, and are for children from four months to three years old.

Older children (ages three to six) can attend the preschool/kindergarten development gymnastics classes - the Funny Bugs, Giggle Worms, and Good Friends. The younger kids in this age group learn tumbling and apparatus skills, while gradeschoolers build on those skills in a non-competitive environment. Advanced gymnastics classes, by invitation, are also available for kids ages three-12.

A sports skills class teaches kids ages three to eight the basics in soccer, baseball, basketball, and football, in combination with gymnastics.

Dance classes offer a combination of tap, ballet, creative movement, and gymnastics for children ages three to 12.

Little Gym's non-competitive cheerleading program allows children ages three to 12 to learn and practice cheers, chants, dance, tumbling, stunts, and gymnastics while encouraging trust and cooperation by working as a team.

Kids ages four to 12 can take part in the children's karate program, in which the instructors teach basic blocks, punches, and kicks. The karate classes encourage participants to have fun while building skills such as focus, concentration, self-control, strength, balance, and coordination.

Birthday parties: A 90-minute party led by trained staff - includes gymnastics, games, music, set-up/clean-up, paper goods, and favors for purchase. The parties are held on Friday and Saturday afternoons only, and are available for members an non-members; members receive a discount.

Summer camps: Week long theme camps for children ages three to 10 cover subjects like paleontology, Harry Potter, sports, and more, and run from June through the end of August.

Parents' Survival Night, held on select Friday and/or Saturday evenings from 6pm to 10pm, gives parents a chance to step out while their kids play on the equipment, play games, and more. The evening is for potty-trained kids ages three to 12; reserving well in advance is strongly advised. Pricing varies by location; call for details. Nonmembers and members can take advantage of this offering; members receive a discount.
