Located in Balboa Park, The Old Globe is California's oldest professional theater organization and one of the foremost regional theaters in the country. Its world-class productions occasionally (but not often) include family-friendly fare.
The Old Globe performs fifteen works a year on its three stages: the 500+ capacity Old Globe Theatre, a reproduction of England's Elizabethan Globe Theater on the Thames; the smaller 225-seat Cassius Carter Centre Stage, and the large outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.

getting there:
From I-5 take the Park Boulevard exit, go uphill, turn left onto President's Way. From 163 take the University Ave. exit, University turns into Sixth Ave., take a left onto Laurel, Laurel turns into El Prado and ends in the center of the Park.
