The Old Spaghetti Factory serves Italian fare amid a collection of antiques, Victorian style decorations, and funky ambient lighting. The draw for children is the old trolley car, positioned in the center of the restaurant, containing a few tables for lucky families.
The kids menu offers a half dozen versions of pasta as well as grilled cheese, and meals come with drinks and desserts. As if the decor didn't provide enough to look at, crayons and paper menus are provided to distract kids while they wait for their food.
Adult portion sizes run from generous to big-enough-to-swim-in, with all the Italian standards represented well enough. Whole wheat pasta may be substituted upon request. Entrees come with soup or salad at lunch, and also include a beverage and ice cream at dinner. All in all, it's a great deal for hearty food served in a fun setting - especially when you can get several days worth of lunches from the leftovers!
Booster and highchairs are available, as well as a changing table in the well kept restrooms.
Many locations participate in the Rewards of Reading program. Children ages 10 and younger are rewarded with a free kids' meal after reading five books (young children can have the books read to them). Ask for a Rewards of Reading form at any location and then start reading! An adult entree must be purchased for each free kids' meal.
