As the name suggests, the Pancake Pantry plays to its strengths, offering pancakes in a range of styles and tastes - including tender sweet potato pancakes with ginger cream, sugar and spice pancakes, and buckwheat cakes, along with more traditional buttermilk pancakes. Kids tend to love the chocolate chip pancakes or the silver dollar-sized cakes. And you can always add a side of hash browns or country ham.
The dining area is spacious and pleasantly lit. The restaurant is kept cool inside during the summer, which is a plus on those sweltering days, but if you aren't ordering hot tea or coffee, you might want to bring a sweater just in case.
Also note that the wait for a table can be long for squirmy little ones, but if anything, that's a testament to just how good these pancakes are.
