The Parent-Infant Center (PIC) offers early childhood and afterschool programs for children ages six weeks through 13 years. Full- and half-day programs are available, as well as a weekly parent/child playgroup. Students are grouped in age-appropriate classes with a higher-than-average ratio of adults to children. The center generally maintains a 1:3 adult-infant ratio, 1:4 for toddlers, 1:6 for preschoolers, 1:7 for pre-kindergarteners, and 1:9 in programs for school-age children. PIC Camp Kids' Place provides childcare for school-age children in Kindergarten through fifth grade during the summer. The enrichment program features art, sports, dance, reading, outdoor fun, and more. Each session's activities include a visit to an outdoor pool and a special field trip. Camp is open 8am-6pm Monday through Friday. Tuition for a two-week camp session is $400; one-week sessions are $225. Call 215.898.3417 for additional information about camp programs. PIC enrolls children in subsidized care and has a modest scholarship fund.
